Policy Statement
Tuition
Piano
lessons are offered for 30 and 45 minute lessons, depending on need and the
ability of the student. Lessons are
once per week per the studio calendar.
Rates
are as follows:
30 minute lesson 45 minute lesson
James and Hope Spangler $26 per lesson
$39 per lesson
Karen Spangler $22 per lesson $33 per lesson
An
10% discount is offered for each additional family member who is taking
lessons.
Karen
offers a 45 minute lesson consisting of a 30 minute piano lesson followed by a
15 minute recorder, penny whistle, or ocarina lesson, for those interested.
Tuition
is billed monthly and is due on the first of the month. Payments may be by cash or check (there is a
$30 fee for NSF checks).
Attendance
It
is the responsibility of each student to be prompt and prepared for each
lesson. Regular attendance of lessons and
consistent practice is required, as consistency is essential to the study and
learning of music. Attendance at
recitals is strongly encouraged.
Missed
lessons by the student need to be rescheduled with the teacher in the semester
in which they were missed. Missed
lessons by the teacher may be rescheduled or refunded at the discretion of the
teacher. Individual lessons are
refunded at 25% of the monthly tuition rate.
To
cancel a lesson, please call or email the studio prior to the lesson time.
To
discontinue lessons, please notify the studio prior to the end of the
month. Tuition is still due and
non-refundable for the month in which discontinued lessons occur.
Materials
We
will purchase music for each student so that the correct materials are
obtained. The cost for materials will be
included on the following month’s tuition bill.
Communication
We
use phone and email as the primary means of communicating with students. If your phone number or email address
changes, please notify the studio as soon as possible. If you do not have an email address, we
will use an alternate form of communication and billing. Please arrange this with the studio prior to
beginning lessons.
Other
Teachers
may substitute for one another on occasion, with no change in tuition.
We
reserve the right to cancel any student who does not adhere to these policies.
